There at the beginning: A conversation about John W. Kluge and the early years of the Kluge-Ruhe Collection

In this webinar, esteemed anthropologist Howard Morphy and Kluge-Ruhe director Margo Smith AM will reminisce and tell stories about the early days of meeting John W. Kluge, travelling to Australia to collect and commission new works and advising him in creating a world-class art collection. How did they come to be involved? What was the root of John W. Kluge’s interest in Aboriginal art? What does it take to create a museum? These questions and more will be answered in this webinar, which will be recorded.
