In this tour, Lauren Maupin, manager of education and programs, will give a tour of Aboriginal women’s fiber art, beginning with the current exhibition “With Her Hands” and touring art storage to see examples from other areas of Australia and other artists influenced by women’s fiber art practice. She will also demonstrate two of the techniques currently on view: twining and hand-spinning. No reservations are required, but the art storage portion of this tour is limited to 15 people.
