NAIDOC Week 2014: Cameron McCarthy

Overview

In this celebration of NAIDOC week, Kluge-Ruhe hosted an intergenerational woodblock printmaking workshop in July, where each participant created their own print of the Aboriginal flag. Indigenous visual artist, didjeridu player, dancer and hip hop solo artist Cameron McCarthy demonstrated the didjeridu and other musical instruments. Afterward, he explained the importance of the instrument within Indigenous culture, including using it to pass stories on through generations.
